The Lambeosaurus is a member of the hadrosaur family, better known as the duck-billed dinosaurs. This dinosaur is easy to identify by its hatchet-shaped hollow bony crest on top of its skull. Lambeosaurus was a large bipedal/quadrupedal herbivore, eating plants with a sophisticated skull that permitted a grinding motion analogous to chewing in mammals. Its teeth were continually replaced and were packed into dental batteries, which were formed from hundreds of teeth. These teeth were stacked in rows upon rows and formed a grinding surface to process plant foods.
